Beaver Dam is proud to host a variety of fun events and festivities year-round, from seasonal festivals like the Wisconsin Arts & Peony Festival, Fall Downtown Fest, Holiday Parade & Rotary Holiday Light Show to unique Beaver Dam events like the Taste of Wisconsin Beer & Cheese Festival, Best Dam Music Fest, and Pepper FestWe also organize adult-only events including our Boozy Brunch Walk and Wine Tour. 

Visit us for fresh produce every Tuesday and Saturday at our Farmer’s Market, spend the day birding, hiking the nature trails, or paddling at the Horicon Marsh (just minutes away), or add an exciting waterski show to your visit. Join us at the Dodge County Fair in Beaver Dam, WI, from August 14-18! Experience the excitement of truck, tractor, and horse pulls, live performances by Tracy Byrd, Matt Stell, and Grand Funk Railroad, and thrilling demo derbies. Enjoy three nights of concerts on an outdoor stage, surrounded by youth exhibits and fantastic fried food. With thrilling rides, fun games, and new attractions, it’s the area’s main event! 

Don’t miss out on discount days for all ages! The concert series, tractor pull, and all grandstand entertainment are FREE with paid gate admission. Attend for only $7/day with a season ticket. Daily gate admission is $10 before 12:00 pm and $15 after. Kids 9 and under are FREE! Season tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the gate, available at Dodge County Banks, Rechek’s Food Pride, Beaver Dam Piggly Wiggly, or the Fairgrounds Office. FREE Grandstand and Parking – just pay your admission!

The Beaver Dam Pepper Festival on Saturday, September 14th celebrates the Hungarian immigrant who, back in 1912, decided to bring a small piece of what reminded him of his home to Beaver Dam, Wisconsin – his favorite sweet and hot pepper seeds!  At the festival you will find apple pepper pancakes, apple pepper pies, pepper beer, and-of course-the original Beaver Dam Pepper brat. 

Live entertainment, a chili cook-off, the longest pepper contest, pancake breakfast served all day, pies by the slice, entertainment from Mr. Steve, and more await you!

Join us for Oogtoberfest, a unique Oktoberfest experience hosted by Ooga Brewing. Kicking off at noon, they’ll tap the keg of their special Oogtoberfest Märzen, marking the start of a day filled with festivities. Enjoy the lively tunes of The Waltzmeisters as they get everyone dancing in the afternoon, and keep the party going into the night with the energetic beats of The Gary Beal Band.

The Beaver Dam Wine Tour, with a “Sip and Saddle Up” country theme on Friday, September 20th is an evening event that encourages attendees to choose their own path as they enjoy the downtown area while tasting a variety of wines from Wisconsin.

Explore the shops and businesses in Downtown Beaver Dam while walking between “Sip Stops”. Registration includes a commemorative wine glass, wristband, wine samples, raffle ticket, and specials at a variety of the 12 “Sip Stops”.

Join us for a spooktacular all-day event on Saturday, October 26th that embraces everything we love about fall..and Halloween! Highlights include a bewitching performances including a Witches Dance, Dance Now “This is Halloween,” One Voice Singers, Swingin’ Beavers Square Dance Club and More! Curiously fun and spooky entertainment includes Casket Races, Sanderson Sisters, Chamber of Mystery, Scary Architecture Scavenger Hunt, Costume Contests, Psychic Readings, and numerous kids activities and games. Don’t forget Trick or Treat with 40 participating businesses and organizations. For the adults, shop at our vendor market and stay with us into the night for the JDP Band at Ooga Brewing Company, Benign Addiction at Thirsty Beaver and Halloween Bash with live music at Stormy’s Music Venue.

As night falls, adults can embark on a spine-chilling Monster Bar Crawl, with local pubs and bars offering drink specials and live music located throughout the downtown.

The Original Taste of Wisconsin™ is always held the Saturday of Father’s Day weekend from Noon-4 pm downtown Beaver Dam.

This ever-popular Beer & Cheese and now Wine tasting event is a favorite tradition of the locals, while also bringing in visitors from all around the state!  You’re likely to find your new favorite Wisconsin cold brew and pair it with your newfound favorite Wisconsin cheese. It’s a Cheesehead paradise! 

Two hundred feet of tent prevent exposure to weather extremes, but in the case of inclement weather we now have a venue backup! Enjoy live music, games, raffles, and four hours of sampling Wisconsin Beer & Cheese!
